Why this is here
This is not client work. Lofux is my own brand and I do not think it is right to present it as a client. But there is a reason it belongs on this page: the strongest evidence a consultant can offer is doing the thing they describe with their own resources.
What it does
Lofux runs on a print-on-demand model and serves two purposes at once:
- As a marketplace: it lets channels with an audience, content creators, associations and schools create and sell their own products.
- As a brand: it is an e-commerce store in the design t-shirt space.
What I built
All of it. I planned and built the technical, operational and commercial sides myself:
- The product and variant system
- The e-commerce platform itself
- Accounting integrations
- Marketplace and courier integrations
- Operations planning: which designs get printed, onto which products, in what order
One of these sits exactly where an idea becomes viable or does not:
The part that makes the idea workable. In print on demand the real problem is not the design, it is unit cost: print each item on its own and the model works on paper but not in practice. The system groups the designs from the day’s orders by print method, colour and product type, and puts together the ones that fit on the same print run. That brings down both the printing cost and the production time.
The commercial design. Which product sells at which price, which design is printed ahead and stocked, which is left to order, where a campaign or coupon can run without eating the margin: all of it is defined inside the system. I built this side as well as the software side, because separating the two stops either from working.
The point
I do not know how the system I will build for you works in theory. I run the same thing in my own business every day, and when it breaks in the middle of the night, I am the one who gets up to fix it.
